Description
AP Cybersecurity is an introductory course that can help prepare students for a career in cybersecurity. Additionally, AP Cybersecurity is the equivalent of a one-semester college cybersecurity course. In this course, students will learn how to identify and address cyber vulnerabilities and attacks. They will also investigate detection and mitigation methods in different environments, including physical spaces, computer networks, devices, applications, and data.
Students with qualifying scores on the AP Exam can earn college credit and the AP Career Kickstart Employer-Endorsed Credential. This credential can help support students moving into internships, apprenticeships, or employment.
This course aligns with the NICE Workforce Framework.
Per College Board’s Appropriate Grade Level Policy – Students enrolling in AP courses with FLVS must be entering 9th grade to have AP designation affixed to their transcript at course completion. By signing up for an AP course with FLVS you are agreeing to College Board’s policy.
